Some Assembly Required Final Week Part II

This week we fixed up some bugs and errors that we found. Some of the bugs were minor visual bugs while some of the other bugs affect the functionality of the game.

For the visual bugs were misplaced objects, overlapping UI, and lighting issues.

For the misplaced objects we had some things that were floating, cutting into things, and leaving gaps. One of the posters between the main desk and shelf was floating in front of the wall and not attached, so it had to be moved back slightly. We also had a gap between the walls and the floor in one area, so the floor was moved up to fix that. When the floor was moved up though some bone models started cutting into it, so they also had to be moved up afterward.

Poster was moved closer to the wall so there is no gap

Floor is raised so there is no gap between it and the wall, and bones were raised so they were not cutting into the ground.

For the overlapping UI there were a few different UI elements that would constantly overlap with each other due to certain UI elements being able to overlap with the pause and inventory menu. Some UI that overlapped was the claw components UI and the interaction UI. Both were changed so they would appear under the inventory and pause menu instead.

Interactions don't appear when the pause menu is open

Game UI is hidden behind the pause menu instead of in front of it.

For the lighting issues there were a few minor issues with there being no light in the game ending room, and some of the areas still being slightly too dark like the wire puzzle. More lights were added to the ending room, main arcade area, and the wire puzzle to make sure those areas were not too dark.
